The article is devoted to the analysis of the codependency of German culture on political culture, in which the main criterion in all eras is the "concept of the political".
Over the years, there have been numerous demonstrations and applications of the concept of "political". The term belongs to Carl Schmitt, but in a broad sense, this concept is always used and applied in political culture, subordinating the existing culture. The forced relationship between politics and culture is examined using specific cultural components - German literary examples and a cultural magazine.
The relevance of this topic lies in the fact that in recent years our world has changed dramatically, the threat of war is becoming a reality. Culture is becoming an enemy of the political and geopolitical confrontation of world powers and is banned as it once was in Nazi Germany. Our society needs to understand and comprehend all the changes that have suddenly befallen it. An analysis of the main components of German culture through the prism of political culture, in which the specific "concept of the political" of the era dominates, should shed light on this complex aspect of the modern cultural and political crisis era.
Keywords:cultural codependency, concept of the political, race and culture, nationalism, identity.
