The relevance of the study is due to the growing uncertainty in the state, which is characterized by the unknown present and unpredictability of future, lack of information about current events. That is why studying the problem of shaping the image of the future in youth in conditions of uncertainty is an important theoretical and practical task in today’s realities of the country.
Objective: to study the role of attitudes towards the future in variations of youth patriotism
Methods: the author’s methodology for assessing attitudes of optimism towards future identity (S. N. Baryilnik, R. M. Shamionov) to identify them and assess their importance for participants and survey constructive patriotism (S. V. Vasilyeev, A. V. Mikhalyoeva) in order to evaluate the content of patriotic attitudes in the context of solving the challenges of forming constructive forms of patriotism. Participants: N = 436, of them - 359 women and 77 men, aged 17 to 27 years, the average age was 20.2 ± 3.5 years, students of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Saratov State Medical University named after V. I. Razumovsky» of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Saratov).
Results: Analysis of the data obtained confirms that for student youth optimism about their own future, first of all, determines self-development and self-realization. The regression analysis showed that «Faith in the Glory of our Country», «Heroic Past of our People» and «Civil Rights and Freedoms» are important in shaping constructive patriotism, which confirms the importance of organizing a system of patriotic education in the country.
Practical significance: The study of the characteristics of the formation of attitudes in young people is an important aspect of understanding and forecasting of modern social processes, on the one hand, and on the other hand, a basis for developing practical recommendations for organizing educational work with young people.
