This paper examines the relationship between gender-role identity and character accentuations in representatives of Generation Y (millennials). The study examines the theoretical foundations of gender-role identity as a complex personal construct that includes cognitive, affective and behavioral components, as well as the concept of character accentuations as extreme variants of the norm with excessively enhanced individual traits. Particular attention is paid to the socio-cultural context of the formation of the personality of millennials in the context of the digital revolution, globalization and the transformation of gender roles. The work reveals a tendency towards androgyny of representatives of Generation Y with noticeable gender asymmetry, the phenomenon of "multiple identity" and establishes significant correlations between the types of gender-role identity and certain character accentuations. The results of the study demonstrate that the androgynous type of identity is more often combined with the hyperthymic and demonstrative types of accentuations, the masculine type - with the excitable and stuck, the feminine type - with the anxious and exalted types. The influence of the digital environment and the transformation of family relationships on the formation of character accentuations in millennials is analyzed. The data obtained are important for psychological practice, education and social work with representatives of generation Y.
