The article examines age and personality characteristics of the formation and development of self-regulation of mental states in adolescents. The article presents conclusions based on the results of the analysis of the dynamics of self-regulation of mental states in adolescents, and concludes that there is a statistically significant relationship between self-regulation of adolescents and personality anxiety: low self-regulation of mental states in adolescents is accompanied by extremely high anxiety. A psychological and pedagogical program for the formation of self-regulation of mental states in adolescents is presented. Its effectiveness is substantiated by means of an ascertaining experiment among adolescents.
