PSYCHOLOGICAL PREDICTORS AND SOMATIC MANIFESTATIONS OF MENTAL HEALTH RISK IN WOMEN VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Introduction. The study examines psychological predictors and somatic manifestations of the risk of psychosomatic health disorders in women victims of domestic violence. Objective: to investigate psychological predictors and somatic manifestations of the risk of psychosomatic health disorders in women victims of domestic violence. Materials and methods of research. The study involved women who were victims of domestic violence. 57 women aged 36,5 ± 9,76 years were examined per group. The work was carried out using a questionnaire, clinical examination and psychological testing: "Depression Scale" by A. Beck, "Hopelessness Scale" by A. Beck, "Tomsk Rigidity Questionnaire of Zalevsky". Results: Testing on the depression scale established the presence of depressive disorders in all subjects: mild degree was detected in 31,7 ± 5,4%, moderate severity in 67,3 ± 9,8% of cases. Mild hopelessness was found in 59.1±6.9%, moderate hopelessness in 4,8±6,1% of subjects. According to the rigidity questionnaire, the following scales were overestimated: "Rigidity symptom complex", "Rigidity as a state", "Premorbid rigidity", "Sensitive rigidity". Discussion. Psychological predictors and somatic manifestations of the risk of psychosomatic health disorders in women, victims of domestic violence, which can develop into non-psychotic mental disorders, were established. Conclusions. The identified changes in the psychosomatic status of women experiencing violence require psychological and psychotherapeutic assistance.
