This study investigates the efficacy of alpha-neurofeedback training in mitigating the long-term effects of childhood trauma manifesting as uncontrolled fear and anxiety related to emotional dysregulation. Thirty volunteers aged 30 to 45, without pre-existing severe psychiatric conditions, participated in the study. The sample was stratified based on trauma type: physical abuse, emotional abuse, and combined trauma. Following ten alpha-neurofeedback sessions utilizing a 6-channel EEG system, a moderate increase in alpha power (15-20%) and a decrease in the theta-beta ratio (over 10%) were observed, correlating with improved psycho-emotional state. Results indicated a clinically significant reduction in anxiety symptoms, with correlational analysis revealing a strong association between increased alpha activity and symptom reduction. The highest efficacy was observed in participants with a history of emotional abuse. Limitations of this study include the absence of a control group and a short follow-up period.
