FEATURES OF BODY IMAGE “I” IN SEXUAL DISORDERS

This article is devoted to the specifics of the bodily image of the "I" in people with impaired psychosexual orientation, introduces the concept of the bodily image of the "I", defines the role of sexuality in the formation of physicality in people with homo- and bisexual orientation. According to the results of an empirical study, three groups of psychological disorders have been identified: symptoms of a borderline level of personality organization; symptoms of a disharmonious bodily image of the "I" and specific features of the realization of a sexual role and sexual activity characteristic of persons with impaired sexual orientation. The article describes a symptom complex of disharmonious body image of the "I" in psychosexual orientation disorders, manifested in violations of: the level of sensations (low awareness of body image, body schema disorders); cognitive level (inadequate ideas about one's body and its functions); emotional level (negative assessment of one's bodily manifestations and rejection of certain body parts and organs); motivational and semantic level (contradictory and unstable nature of motives and meanings related to bodily appearance, exaggerated role of motives and meanings related to physicality; in the conflict personal sense of the body: the motive of maintaining health in combination with tendencies to self-harm); behavioral level (objectification and fixation on one's body, in dysmorphophobic and hypochondriac symptoms).
