This article examines the problem of short-term and unstable changes in psychological counseling and personal development that arise due to misalignment between a client's external goals and internal values. Within the framework of the Adaptive Intelligence (AQ) concept, the phenomenon of integrity and inner grounding is analyzed as a key mechanism of psychological resilience and self-development. It is shown that the formation of an inner foundation through value awareness enables individuals to maintain direction and effectiveness of action under uncertainty without losing their identity. Particular attention is given to the “Value Navigator” tool, which helps identify, integrate, and align personal values with life goals. Using two practical case studies, the article demonstrates how working with value structures increases adaptability, reduces inner conflict, and contributes to long-term change. It is concluded that the development of adaptive intelligence through strengthening inner grounding ensures not only behavioral flexibility but also depth of personal transformation, making the outcomes of psychological work sustainable and ecologically sound.
