From synesthesia to modern forms of artistic synthesis

The article is devoted to the nature of synaesthesia and new forms of artistic synthesis that arise through modern information and digital technologies. In the article different types of synaesthesia are analyzed, it is shown that modern technologies expand the possibilities of this phenomenon both in life and in art. The development of modern information, communication and digital technologies is the basis for the emergence of new forms of artistic synthesis and polysynthesis, expanding the palette of depictive expressive means of art. The authors caution that the use of modern technological means should not be excessive. It is emphasized that the use of an innovative technological arsenal in the practice of artistic creativity should not contradict the nature of art.
