The article is devoted to the actual problems of modern science from the standpoint of cultural knowledge. Phenomenological characteristics of science important for the development of modern civilization and culture are revealed. Special attention is paid to ethical aspects related to the consequences of certain results. Further prospects of science development in the context of modern problems of culture are estimated. The article reveals the significance of paradigm concepts in scientific knowledge, which had a significant impact on the study of science as a phenomenon of culture.
