Influence of ccognitive abilities of the project team on effectiveness of project activities in the area of information technology

The article introduces an empirical study of the impact of the cognitive abilities of project team staff on the effectiveness of project activities in the area of information technology. During the study, the cognitive abilities of professional participants in the project activity of a large IT (Information Technology) company were studied. The results of the study of the connection between the effectiveness of the project activity and the project team members’ level of memory, attention, thinking, the ability to classify and analyze are highlighted and described. Modern legitimate methods were used in this empirical study. The article presents a substantiation of the fact that there is a positive correlation between the project team members’ level of cognitive abilities and the effectiveness of the project activity. The results of the research presented in the article are of practical value, since the knowledge of what conditions affect the effectiveness of the project activity assist planning a set of the project team to ensure the success of the project.
