In the article, you are talking about reducing the importance of the human body, deprivation of physicality, the perception of physical death as an ordinary and even desirable phenomenon. The author notes that there is a correlation between the subjective picture of the world of the individual and the individual components of the image of the ego. The article focuses on the fact that the Image of the Self is the totality of the cognitive attitudes of the individual with respect to himself. The author presents a theoretical model for investigating the representations of the individual about his physical self.
