The characteristics of personal aspirations of young individuals with different life strategies

This article is devoted to the analysis of the characteristics of personal aspirations of young individuals with different life strategies. A life strategy is recognised as a multi-component personality formation, a method of personality existence aimed at the integration of one's individuality with living conditions that can be attributed to a specific type depending on the contents of a specific dominant life motive and the intensity of internality-externality. Personal aspirations are viewed as a motivational and goal-related personality formation manifested as a strive for achieving subjectively acceptable results in relevant spheres of reality and life in general. Within the scope of the current study, the author analysed the characteristics of the leading types of personal aspirations of young individuals with life strategies based on the criterion of externality. The stability of specificity and detailed elements of aspirations (the informational characteristic), the intensity of the readiness of young individuals to take efforts (the intensity characteristic) and time expenditures (the time characteristic) for achieving subjectively acceptable results have their specific features depending on the life strategy realised by the subjects.
