Socio-psychological characteristics of the individual, in a situation of making a decision to be interviewed using a polygraph

The paper deals with the problem of social and psychological characteristics of a person, in the situation of making a decision about the interview with the use of a polygraph. It was established that for subjects from the group who are ready to undergo the interview procedure using a polygraph, there are high levels of stress tolerance, an external locus of control, a high level of vigilance in a decision-making situation, a low level of procrastination, a low level of avoidance of problems, a low level of supervigilance. According to the sociometric status, the respondents are both in the zone of leadership and preferred people, and in the zone of isolated ones.
