Features of the intellectual development of children of primary school age with autism spectrum disorder

The autism spectrum disorder "ASD" is a deviation in the mental development of the child, which is accompanied by a violation of intellectual abilities. The most striking external signs that can push parents to the fact that they have a special child are: the child’s lack of contact needs or avoidance, absence or shortness of gaze fixation, stereotyped behavior, the child’s desire to maintain constant, habitual living conditions and speech delay or monotonous speech acts. Psychological diagnostics of intelligence of children with autism spectrum disorder is a complex process that requires an analysis of the behavior of these children, the characteristics of their activities and the characteristics of the development of speech abilities.
