Paradoxes of technogenic culture

The overview and analytical study of the mosaic thinking concept (network thinking, Internet consciousness, defocusing), the term of the last decades, which describes the fragmentary way of perceiving information, peculiar to a new generation growing in the world of technogenic culture, is presented in the article. The raised issues are analyzed, the research programs and perspective directions for future study in the matter of changes in a person’s cognitive style are proposed. The 21st century marked the era of social networks, video blogs and online chats, the algorithm of using information is changing, and a person ceases to delve into information, reading only superficial facts. Many scientists are wondering whether informatization leads to the degradation of society or whether it is just a change in the cognitive style of a person living in the era of the information-oriented society.
