Social self-identity of personality as a sphere of risk

Grigoriev Alexander Vladimirovich  (senior lecturer, Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) )

The purpose of the research is a philosophical analysis of risk situations that arise in the process of social self-identification of an individual. The study presents a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenal manifestations of risk in the processes of social self-identification. Two stages of self-identification of a person are identified: the formation of a hypothetical identity and its verification. The main risk situations in the processes of social self-identification and the factors that produce them are identified, as well as the main barriers to successful self-identification of the individual. The study shows that in the process of forming a hypothetical identity, there are risks associated with possible errors in self-esteem and motivation, as well as the risk of deformation of the hypothetical identity of the individual and violations in its functioning. The risks that arise at the stage of verification of hypothetical identity, which consist in the possibility of loss of self-realization and loss of self-development, were also identified.

Keywords:social self-identification; social risk; riskology; social self-determination; social roles; socialization, social philosophy.
