Deviant behavior of teenagers using psychoactive substances

The article presents the analysis of modern psychological concepts of deviant behavior of teenagers using psychoactive substances. The significance of adolescence in the formation of personality, self-awareness, self-esteem, I-concept is revealed. The main factors for adolescents' involvement in psychoactive substance using are discussed in detail, namely factor of family education, factor of individual mental and psychological characteristics of adolescents, factor of the situation at school, factor of motivation and reasoning, physiological age specifics of adolescents. The article shows how psychoactive substances using can contribute to deviant and delinquent behavior. The results of the study on individual characteristics of adolescents using psychoactive substances are presented: high level of aggression and hostility, situational (reactive) anxiety, high need for excitement are revealed.
