This article is devoted to a little-known dialogue between the scientist and philosopher Hans-Peter Duerr and his colleague and friend Peter Michael, which has not been translated into Russian. The author in his review examines the basic concepts of Duerr's philosophy, such as "transcendence", "dialogue", "duality", "premonition", "reality", etc., and analyzes Duerr's interpretation of these concepts. The dialogue asserts the need to create a "new philosophy" as opposed to the "old philosophy" that permeates both science and religion. It is shown that the distinctive feature of the "old philosophy" is dualism, the separation of subject and object, which is overcome in the "new philosophy" of Duerr by a holistic attitude to the world, co-creation with other subjects of knowledge, and with the nature as a whole. The author presents the method of Duerr's philosophizing, which is the main one in his epistemology — a dialogue, provided that one fully accepts the interlocutor and is "attuned" to him or her. Also the effectiveness of this method, as understood by G.-P. Duerr, is justified.
