Peculiarities of the content of communication with the parents of boys and girls in the process of life self-determination

The article presents the results of a study of the content of communication with parents of boys and girls in the process of life self-determination, including professional and personal self-determination. The results obtained using the questionnaire method allowed the authors to compare the features of the content characteristics of communication of respondents of different genders. The study revealed that the life self-determination of girls and boys is not the main subject of their communication with their parents. Usually parents talk to their children about school, studies, friends and health problems. Growing up children themselves more often than parents initiate conversations about their professional and personal future. Girls do it more often than boys. Most respondents try to be sincere when communicating with their parents and count on their understanding and support. Parents' opinion about their future plans is important for them. However, a conversation with parents helps few people to understand difficult situations for themselves.
