The potential of the religious worldview in the concept of Z. Freud

This article discusses the origin and essence of religion in the works of Freud. The "evolution" of the views of psychoanalysis' founder on the following notions is consistently revealed: religious worldview and neurosis; the role of religion in the development of universal culture, every individual's life activity is grounded as the form of personality choice manifestation, conditioned by suppressed religious irrationalism in the background of science development and fashionable tendency to rationalization.
