The purpose of the study is to study the attitude of adolescents and young people to the issues of gender education and to determine the most appropriate form for them to receive information on this issue. Materials and methods: an anonymous survey of 372 young people (268 girls and 104 boys) aged 13 to 19 years was conducted. The questionnaire consisted of 2 parts: general - gender, age, place of study / level of education, and the second, including questions about respondents' awareness and sources of information about gender education, opinions about its relevance. Results: the analysis of the results revealed that the majority (85.2%) of the respondents consider gender education relevant, despite the insufficient actual level of knowledge of the issue (a quarter of the respondents 25.3%). The majority (70.2%) of the respondents considered school age to be the optimal age to start getting acquainted with the issue. At the same time, when choosing a format for receiving answers, opinions were divided almost equally: 58.1% of respondents named school programs and / or family, 41.9% - anonymous resources (helpline, Internet portals). The indication by the majority of respondents (70.8%) as sources of information of the Internet, friends and acquaintances, the media and television raises questions about the reliability and objectivity of the information received, which is the same as the presence among the respondents of 9.4% of young people who do not know and do not want to have information on gender education indicates the urgency of the problem. Conclusions: the data obtained confirm the need to develop a state step-by-step program of gender education taking into account age - starting from primary school and/or pre-school education system.
