Psychological determinants of self-actualization of orphans and children without parental care

Fedotov Vladislav Kirillovich  (Director of HBO CSSV "Lesnoy")

The article examines the problem of self-actualization of orphans and children who were left without parental care. The humanistic approach in its classical and modern form is chosen as the main core of the consideration of this problem. The general context and relevance of the study are outlined, as well as the main approaches to the analysis of self-actualization in orphaned children are considered. Special attention in the article is paid to children in adolescence, since the processes of their self-actualization coincide with the biological processes of growing up. The author suggests that teenagers are characterized by actualization of axiological attitudes at the expense of other (significant) people, which leads to the formation of certain collectives and communities.

Keywords:self-actualization, deprivation, orphans, psychological determinants.
