On a sample of 239 teachers - participants in various professional development programs in an online format. Using questionnaires and valid psychodiagnostic techniques, the presence of motivational features in relation to all currently available forms of electronic distance learning - interactive; webinar; video lectures and correspondence with the teacher with a delayed response; combination of video and texts; texts and self-tests. It has been established that teachers with different experiences in distance learning (different preferred forms of online programs and different lengths of involvement in online learning) have differences in the level of satisfaction of such needs as financial situation, safety, interpersonal connections, respect from others and self-realization, as well as differences in the motives for choosing a profession, motivation for success and in styles of cognition. In addition, relationships between achievement motivation and the level and quantity of satisfied needs, motives for choosing a profession and cognitive styles were discovered.
