The article describes the gender relations that have developed in modern society. The reasons for the transformation of standard gender roles are given. Masculinity and femininity are determined by the presence of certain socio-cultural and socio-economic conditions. The problem of the formation of the egalitarian status of a modern woman is substantiated. The article shows the change of traditional gender stereotypes, assuming a clear, structured distribution of male and female responsibilities to modern ones: blurred and economically oriented.
