Background. Assessment of emotional tension through physiologi-cal factors can be instrumental in improving academic performance. Usage of tremor as an indicator of emotional tension is a promising technique and requires further research. Objective. To investigate the presence of connection between emo-tional tension and tensotremorogram characteristics in the frequency range of 8-16 Hz with the tripod handle grip. Design. A sample of 50 healthy subjects performed force contraction at 10% of maximum voluntary contraction [MVC] with feedback, under tri-pod grip pen conditions. During the experiment, emotionally significant im-ages from the COMPASS database and sound stimuli exceeding the comfort level were presented. Data analysis was performed using a mathematical method of data fragmentation, while Epps-Singelton statistic was used to confirm the presence of changes in tremor. Results. The result of the experiment demonstrated an increase in tremor amplitude when presented with sound, negative and positive stimula-tion compared to a neutral stimulus and without it. These findings are con-sistent with previous studies under isometric contraction conditions, which presented relationships of strength changes depending on emotional tension Conclusion. The problem of defining emotional tension within affec-tive science has been highlighted and a specific definition has been proposed for the present study. By changing the condition of compression of these sensors with the staff grip of a given force, we can conclude about the rela-tively similar effect of emotionally significant stimuli on the parameters of tensotremorometry. The practical usages of the application of the present technique are highlighted.
