REAL JADE AS A TRADITIONAL MATERIAL IN CHINA ART AND CULTURE

The article discusses the distinctive features of jade and jadeite as traditional materials in the art of China. Their structural characteristics are given. The historical chain of appearance of products from these minerals in China is analyzed. The functional categories that are associated with the utilitarian and decorative functions of jade are considered.
