CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCES OF THE PARK IN RUSSIA

The article is devoted to the study of cultural significance in the park in Russia. The author substantiates the relevance and significance of the research topic. A brief terminological analysis of the category "park" is carried out, the types and functions of parks are specified, aspects that determine their role in culture are formulated. It is postulated that Russia has a large number of objects of social and cultural significance, presented in landscape design and located throughout the country, a significant role among which belongs to parks. They show the greatest interest among the population for cultural leisure, walks and enjoyment of unique natural moments; they are one of the points of attraction for tourists in Russian cities. In addition, the parks host cultural infrastructure, art objects, and cultural events are held. All this proves that the cultural significance of the park is great. The author also notes that parks are not only a landscape, but also a set of objects included in their composition of gardening art, as evidenced by the studies of many modern authors, an analytical review of opinions and views of which is given in this article. It concludes on the role and place of Russian parks in leisure culture.
