The article presents the results of a study of the value orientations of cadets as a factor in the socio-psychological adaptation of the individual to the conditions of training at a military institute. The indicators of personal characteristics that can directly act as factors in the formation of the characteristics of value orientations among the studied cadets are described. The relationship between the studied parameters was identified and described using the Spearman rank correlation coefficient.
