The article presents the results of a study of the motivational structure of the time perspective of the personality of young people. The motivational orientation of young people, depending on the chosen profession, differs in defining goals related to self-development. The prevailing motivational directions of two groups of young people who have just entered a higher educational institution for various professional educational programs are described.
