This article will focus on one of the major Russian historians, Evgeny Alekseevich Kosminsky, who was a specialist primarily in the medieval history of Western Europe. Different periods of his life are considered. Evgeny Alekseevich studied the problems of general history - Byzantine studies, modern history, as well as the history of historical science. The analysis of the scientist's works was carried out, they were found, attributed and prepared for publication by the researcher of his life and work, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of the Department of General History of the Russian State University for the Humanities A.V. Sharova. In conclusion, A.V. Sharova reported the following about the scientist's drawings: "These are pencil and ink drawings, as well as watercolors. We arrange the works in chronological order: "Winter 1929", "Mephistopheles", a self-portrait as a monk-chronicler, 16 illustrations for "Penguin Island", illustrations for other literary works, caricatures - 28 drawings in total."
