Object: development of recommendations for psychological counseling of employees in sex industry.
Methods: formal-logical scientific method, formal-legal scientific method, method of comparative analysis, Leonhard-Shmishek test, as well as E. Shane's career orientation test), methods of mathematical and statistical analysis (descriptive statistics and non-parametric comparison criteria).
Results: The specifics of the sex industry allows not only to earn money, but also to enjoy work, which is the key to a successful career in this particular area. At the same time, from a psychological point of view, pleasure is understood as professional activity in the broadest sense, which brings satisfaction not from the point of view of sexuality, but from the point of view of satisfaction with oneself and one's place in society.
Conclusions: The hypothesis of the study about the relationship between demonstrativeness and "mission" in this area was confirmed. In addition, in the process of psychological counseling, it was found that respondents with high "mission" indicators are generally healthier people from a psychological point of view. In this sense, the development of a "mission" in this area is the task of psychologists and psychotherapists working with this category of people, who are certainly at particular risk. At the same time, moderate demonstrativeness can be considered as a favorable characteristic for a candidate who aspires to this professional field.
