Additionally, it analyzes the value dominants characteristic of the research participants. The features of life plans and their influence on the professional development of future specialists in the socio-economic sphere are currently an insufficiently explored area in the psychology of professional activity. The relevance of research in this area is primarily related to the desire to make the educational system more effective. By identifying the plans of applicants at the time of their admission to the university and analyzing their value dominants, we can provide a number of recommendations that will enable the educational system to be more flexible and focused on “person-person” specialists. This orientation has the potential to increase the number of specialists working in their field and will contribute to a more effective process of professional development for students who are oriented towards working with other people.
