The article considers the concept and essence of emotional culture in the context of social and humanitarian knowledge and methodological approaches. The relevance of studying the concept of "emotional culture" is associated with understanding social processes and phenomena and with the fact that in modern society the importance of emotional self-regulation is of particular importance, and for the successful functioning of the individual, including in professional activities. The following methods were used in the work: studying the object of scientific research, explanation, understanding and interpretation of the studied phenomenon in the social and humanitarian sciences, thematic analysis of scientific and methodological literature. Analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the concept and essence of emotional culture in the context of social and humanitarian sciences makes a certain contribution to solving the scientific problem of explaining, understanding and interpreting this phenomenon. As a result of the theoretical study, it was concluded that emotional culture will be realized in the development and improvement of the ability to empathy, the ability to provide emotional support, the ability to effectively manage their emotional states and their manifestations, which will allow successfully carrying out both professional and interpersonal interactions in society.
