COPING STRATEGIES AND VOLITIONAL RESOURCE OF A TEENAGER IN A SITUATION OF UNCERTAINTY OF THE PROFESSIONAL FUTURE

The current situation on the labor market, characterized by high dynamism and uncertainty, creates significant difficulties for the professional self-determination of adolescents. The study of the relationship between the volitional sphere of the individual and the mechanisms of coping behavior in the context of professional choice is an urgent task of developmental and educational psychology. The work uses a set of theoretical research methods: a comparative analysis of scientific literature on the problems of volitional regulation and coping behavior, structural and functional modeling to establish relationships between the components of will and specific coping strategies, as well as the method of interdisciplinary synthesis. It has been established that volitional qualities suppress maladaptive forms of behavior and mediate their influence through an increase in the level of self-efficacy of the individual. Two opposite coping profiles are identified and described: «proactive subject of choice» and «passive object of circumstances». Developed volitional regulation transforms the perception of professional uncertainty from a threat into a field of opportunities, providing a basis for conscious and active construction of a professional trajectory. The obtained results substantiate the need to shift the emphasis in psychological and pedagogical support of career guidance from the information component to the targeted development of the volitional sphere of adolescents as a key condition for their successful adaptation to modern challenges of the labor market
