The place of philosophy in the system of higher education in the light of Viernadsky's ideas on the formation and development of the scientific worldview

In the article, an attempt to apologize philosophy as an academic discipline (whose importance in the national system of higher education is now called into question) is carried out by appealing to Vernadsky's legacy, and, first of all, by its component that concerns the problem of forming a scientific worldview. As a result of comprehending the mechanisms of development of the latter, the authors formulate arguments in favor of the fact that the study of even unscientificly oriented directions of philosophy is necessary for the formation of a world-view in students of a scientific type.
