The article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of the formation of educational and professional motivation of students as a special personal component of the professional and personal structure of a specialist's personality. The role and importance of the formation of a motivational attitude to future professional activity and educational and professional activities are analyzed. The results of research activities with students of a pedagogical university are presented. The possibilities of managing students' motivational and value development in modern social conditions of value transformation are emphasized.
