The life and public-political activity of GULAG prisoner Mahmut Bodily (1895–1975)

This paper examines the biography of one of the first political victims of the Stalinist repression, state figure of Tatarstan of the 1920s, M.K.Bodily. His life path, spheres of professional activity are analyzed. Highlights the contribution of M. Bodily in Tatar journalism, in the formation of the Tatar press. The example of the fate of one person shows the tragedy of an era.
