New trends of economic and social development of the Balkarkhikh obschestva in the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century

The article analyzes the issues of economic and social development of Balkaria in the late XIX - early XX centuries. In particular, the development of cattle breeding and farming, the construction of the first wheel roads that connected the mountain gorges with the plane, highlighted the issues of exploration of mineral deposits, land leases, the allocation of pasture lands to Balkars and the process of splitting up the elite of the Balkar people.
