Morphological transposition in the Lezgin and German languages: whether it takes place or not?

In the presented article the author rises the question regarding the status of the verbal units in the function of participles. The main goal of the article is to find out whether these units might be applied to total transposits. In the Lezgin and German languages participles are be regarded as the most controversial verbal forms. The question regarding definition of the participles status in the languages under discussion stated opened for a long time. It has been found out that the participles of these languages cannot be taken as total transposits i.e. there are no affixes of morphological derivation within these verbal forms acting in the function of patrticiples.
