Interdepartmental discussions on the establishment of the Western-Siberian educational district

The article analyzes the interdepartmental correspondence on the establishment of the West Siberian educational district. The issue was practically implemented as a result of the transformation of the previous management model and the approaching opening of the Siberian University. The main subject of discussion between the Ministries of public education and Finance is the issue of staffing and funding. As a result of a three-year discussion, a compromise was found, which served as the basis for the establishment in 1885 of an independent educational district in Western Siberia.
