A linguistic study of the paradoxical speech act in political discourse

In the framework of modern linguistic paradigm, researchers pay a great attention to the study of various speech acts in political discourse, which have the aim to affect the audience. The analysis of examples showed the efficiency of the use of paradoxical speech acts to achieve this goal. A complex study of paradoxical speech acts in political discourse in the analysis of their communicative and pragmatic properties allows studying the phenomenon of paradox and procedures of linguistic and pragmatic analysis in details.
