Stylization of contemporary Russian superhero comics (case study of friar)

This research looks into the stylization of contemporary Russian superhero comics exemplified by Friar. The author singles out two major ways of stylization: historical-social and genre. The most frequently linguistic manifestations are the archaisms proper and slang. The researcher concludes that despite the significant efforts of the authors, the comics needs systemic stylization to achieve better effect.
