The role of the category of animateness in the English and Tatar languages in the process of information transmission

The article reveals the category of indirect evidentiality as an important component of indicating the source of information in the process of speech activity. The basis of the work consists of category of animateness used in English and Tatar speech in the process of obtaining information indirectly. The peculiarities of the English and Tatar animated sources of information during the expression of indirect evidentiality are considered. The article contains examples reflecting the main theoretical positions given by the author.
