The U.S. military subculture system of values in the mirror of phraseology (as exemplified in English)

This paper describes the system of axiological orientations of the U.S. military subculture comprehended through the prism of phraseology. Our research focuses on the collective consciousness of the Anglo-Saxon linguoculture and its phraseological units reflecting positive representations of the U.S. military referential image. The latter is invariably associated with patriotism, fortitude, courage, selfless service to the God’s Country and loyalty to the high principles of the military brotherhood.
