Stylistic characteristics of the Japanese literary tale

In the article the author investigates the genre of the Japanese literary fairy tale, its origin and development, the difference from the Japanese folk tale. The main purpose of the article is to identify stylistic depictive expressive means, their features in a Japanese literary tale. The author convincingly proves that the Japanese literary tale, having traveled a long way and undergoing a large changes, is a very complex phenomenon, the development and development of which was influenced by the development of Japanese society in the 17th-19th centuries, Japanese literacy, traditional and Western upbringing. The author analyzed 10 Japanese literary tales and selected more than 700 examples of visual means, many of which adorn the text of literary tales and reflect the author's idea, his desire, individual style.
