The military aspect in the history of relations between the peoples of the North Caucasus and Russia is one of the most difficult issues in the history of science as a whole, a special turn of which dates back to the 16th century. The connection with this is the main task in this article, this is an attempt to reveal some basic trends in the military aspect of the relationship between the peoples of the North Caucasus and the Moscow state in the 16th century, where the emphasis is on military diplomacy and on comparing the armed forces of both sides, as well as on their armament.
