Linguaculturology and Languages for Specific Purposes

In the article the authors have considered the cognitive, ethnolinguistic, linguoculturological approaches to the analysis of languages for the special purposes (LSP) serving communication in the professional sphere. The main conclusions are made on the basis of the scientific researches devoted to the English language for the special purposes in the sphere of the motor transport, railway and tunnels construction, jurisprudence. The article discusses the main results of scientific research from the cognitive linguistics, ethno-linguistics, linguistic culturology points of view. In languages for the special purposes (LSP) the authors have succeeded to determine the reflection of material culture objects as the products of specialists’ professional activity in various branches of science, technology, national economy. The authors have analyzed such new concepts as international linguoculturema, national linguoculturema (ethnolinguoculturema), professional linguoculturema, social linguoculturema, individual linguoculturema, as well as synchronic linguoculturema, diachronic linguoculturema.
