Study of the history of three translations of Ch. Dikkens’ novel "The posthumous notes of the Pickwick club": synthesis of the experience of the art-translation activity

The article is devoted to the study of artistic and translation activity. Comparison of the three translations of the novel by Charles Dickens "The Posthumous Notes of the Pickwick Club" during various periods of time (I. Vvedensky (1853), M. Shishmaryova (1894), A. Krivtsova and E. Lann (1984)) provides a multidimensional interpretation artistic merits of the language of translation. The text of the translation is "bicultural": Adapting to a certain extent to the recipient culture, it never completely breaks with the original culture. The translator has a wide outlook of the literary critic and linguist, and the talent of the artist of the word.
