Features of nomadic population modern economy of the northern part of the Yamal Peninsula

The article is devoted to the study of the main occupations of the Yamal Peninsula northern part nomadic population in the early 21st century. Features of the main branches of traditional nature management (reindeer herding, hunting, fishing and gathering) are considered in the context of transformations occurring in the nomadic economy of the region. Specificity of traditional nature management in the region is the coexistence of two organizational forms of reindeer herding: formal-organized and private. These two types of economy also have their imprint on the main characteristics of other economy branches.
